So this was a bit of a first for us, the good people of Worthing decided that we should be nominated for an award. We were in some good company on the night. Local businesses, charities, restaurants, pubs, clubs and all sorts of good causes... And there we were, the Hometown samba band

A chance to put on a party frock, and have a glass or 2 with the people of our hometown. So we sent 6 of our drummers along, no drums this time.....

We weren't lucky enough to be winners on the night. However we Had such a cool night there, I hope we can get back there in years to come

And it was cool to see so many of the causes we have drummed at getting recognition for all they do ... Especially our good friends that sort out the  now  award-winning tide of light each year

The main beneficiary of the event was  SuperstarArts who do so much for the local community. The Night was compared by our friend  Bob Smytherman, the official Town Crier for Worthing, West Sussex a role re-introduced by the Worthing Town Centre Initiative in 2014 helping to promote the Town and its events and activities and its a role that he takes very seriously, with just the right amount of enthusiasm.

Stormtroopers, great causes & all  for  "sunny worthing"
